At Lauren, we’ve always believed that great work deserves great storytelling. And that our story is genuinely unique: our culture, the way we get work done, our focus on relationships.
That belief was recently recognized on a national stage when Lauren and our strategic partner Vera Causa received a prestigious Communicator Award of Distinction for our thought leadership and editorial content program. The award recognized a content series designed to elevate industry conversations around project delivery, leadership, energy infrastructure, and the realities of executing complex projects in a rapidly changing market.
What makes the recognition particularly meaningful is that it wasn’t driven by a large advertising budget or a traditional marketing campaign. Instead, the program focused on sharing practical insights, lessons learned, and real-world perspectives from Lauren’s leaders and subject matter experts – literally the people and bright minds behind the brand.
The approach reflects a philosophy shared by both organizations: useful content will always outperform promotional content. So we dug in with one on one interviews and we found the humanity inside a highly technical business — the passion, the culture, the pride — and we built editorial content around it that didn’t read like marketing, because it wasn’t.
That content landed in major industry publications and business media. It generated article views well above industry benchmarks, nearly triple the standard traffic in some cases, 300,000+ social impressions, and — perhaps most importantly — a genuine wave of inbound from clients, partners, and peers that no ad buy could replicate.
“I’m incredibly proud of what our team and our partner Vera Causa accomplished together,” says Dustin Edgren, Lauren president. “We don’t have the resources of some of the larger organizations in our industry, but we’ve always believed we can compete by being smarter, more authentic, and more focused on delivering value.”
“This recognition shows what’s possible when great people, strong ideas, and a clear vision come together.”Dustin Edgren
The award also reinforces an important lesson for the company as it continues to grow across North America: meaningful stories resonate when they’re grounded in real experience, real people, and real results.
It’s a proud moment for Lauren, and a reminder that sometimes the best way to stand out is simply to share what you’ve learned along the way.
