  • Impacts all zones of BC including rural areas
  • Applies to all types of strata corporations: high-rise apartment style, townhouses, bare land strata, industrial and commercial strata, leasehold strata, and recreational use strata corporations

Deadlines to keep in mind

For strata corporations established before December 31, 2023, the timelines vary by region:

• Metro Vancouver, Capital, and Fraser Valley areas: Reports are due by Dec. 31, 2026

• Other regions in BC: Reports must be submitted by December 31, 2028

• For new strata developments, the report is required within 5 years of filing the strata plan
