Managing Partner

With more than 30 years of experience across the industry, Rod manages the ongoing operation of the partnership including budgeting, marketing and business development, staffing, project team selection and development; review of contracts, reports and cost estimates. Project management responsibilities include project/process configuration, design basis memorandums, cost estimating, existing facilities cost evaluation, regulatory approvals, detailed design, equipment specification and procurement, surplus equipment evaluation and re-use, construction management, cost control, commissioning and start-up. Since 2015, Rod has been a director of Gitpo LP, a partnership with a majority Indigenous-owned entity with a mission to expand the capacity and capability of Indigenous companies and contractors to increase the participation of First Nations and their people in the execution of projects on traditional territories.

Bob is a Registered Engineering and Technology Management Professional with 36 years of demonstrated history in the commercial industrial, pulp and paper, pipeline operations and oil and gas’s upstream, midstream and downstream sectors. He graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Civil & Electrical Engineering Technology & Construction Management Technology.

Over the last 16 years working in business development, Bob has successfully delivered multi-million-dollar projects and developed and maintained outstanding client relationships. Bob’s leadership and experience in EPCM and EPC delivery lead to his involvement in major projects with Shell, Chevron, Enbridge, Pembina, Kinder Morgan’s (TMEP), K+S Potash Canada, Pacific Coast Terminals, Neptune Terminals, Husky Refinery, Syncrude, Drax PLC and FortisBC. Today, Bob is the Vice President, Market Development for the Vancouver and Calgary offices.

CHRISTINA CLARK

Director, Design & Drafting

Christina has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, 11 of which have been spent at Lauren Services.  

As the Director of Design Services at Lauren, Christina is a driven and hard-working individual, always striving to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiencies. She has both local Canadian and international experience.  Christina leads her team to provide exceptional drafting and design support, prioritizing schedules and drafting standards to ensure successful project outcomes.

GRAHAM PAVLIK, P. ENG, PMP

Director, Project Management Office (PMO)

Graham has over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry working predominantly as Project Manager on projects related to pipelines, facilities, and refineries. His pipeline experience ranged from 2″ to 36” OD in BC, Alberta, and Ontario including design to CSAZ662, stress analysis, procurement, and TIC estimating. On-site experience includes two years acting as an owner’s rep/engineer at the Chevron Canada Burnaby refinery performing design and management of maintenance projects.

STEVE BERGEN, P. ENG

Director, Corporate Services

Pipeline Engineer and Project Manager with over eight years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with a primary focus on pipeline and pipeline facilities regulated by the OGC, AER and NEB. Projects have typically included feasibility, FEED and/or detailed design of natural gas and multi-product liquids transmission pipelines up to NPS 20, upgrades to existing pipelines and barrel sites including line lowering and re-routes, and both new and replacement natural gas meter and gate station replacements. Projects for clients with smaller project teams have typically included management of lands, regulatory, archeological, and environmental sub-contractors, as well as providing procurement, construction management and commissioning and start-up support.

Charbel is an experienced professional engineer with a distinguished career spanning over two decades, known for a relentless commitment to strategic process management, leadership, planning, and execution in intricate and demanding environments. Charbel possesses a profound proficiency in project management and a passion for innovation and transformation, focusing on conducting market entry analysis and process improvement services to deliver exceptional results across all areas of the client’s organization.

Throughout his career, Charbel has successfully driven significant cost-saving initiatives for clients, resulting in staggering reductions of up to $200k through judicious budgetary control and strategic planning. His contributions to the field have been marked by a systematic enhancement of engineering processes, exemplified by a notable 15% reduction in engineering and drafting costs achieved by implementing a shared database. Charbel has substantially diminished overhead expenses for significant power generation endeavours, precipitating a remarkable 10% reduction and effectively accelerating project return on investment by two years, facilitated by the seamless integration of automation and state-of-the-art IT systems.
