About

Lauren Services provided project and construction management support for the FEED/detailed design and construction phases of the MEG Unloading Expansion project at Pacific Coast Terminals in Port Moody, BC.

The expansion project involved modification/addition of storage tracks in the rail yard, a new offloading rack to serve 10 additional rail car unloading spots, a new MCC building, new offloading pumps, vacuum assisted offloading, interconnecting piping and electrical, and upgrades to the site stormwater management system.

The project budget was set pre-COVID which did not include many of the incremental safety costs. Lauren was able to leverage value engineering to select scope items to maintain budget and deliver the project at the agreed upon deadline with stakeholder.

““It is always a pleasure when Lauren Services is able to work with internal specialities. It allows us to start on the work immediately because we’re aware of the client’s internal processes. The hurdle we had to focus on was maintaining COVID protocols as they shifted during the work. Lauren was proud to provide the same level of service while maintaining safety protocols and remaining within budget. ”
