A job well done is its own reward

Stan Raczkowski believes in approaching every aspect of his work – both professional and hobby – with the philosophy that “a job well done is its own reward.” He says he found alignment with that same philosophy at Lauren Services, where he leads the Process Engineering group.
“Lauren is a little different than some of the other engineering companies,” Stan says. “They have a view to community service, which is one thing that caught my attention. It’s not just about making money, we’re a service that actually serves people, not just projects. We build relationships with our clients. We do have a certain passion for doing things right.”
The Process Engineering group is first to help define and create the project going forward, customizing a scope of work and determining project objectives. Stan says there is growing excitement as Lauren continues to diversify into new sectors, a natural evolution made possible “because there’s a lot of cross pollination with our skill set.”
“In my field especially, we have recently had some opportunities to do some very unique projects, things that haven’t been done before,” he says.
When he’s not helping the Lauren team, Stan says he can usually be found working with his hands on a creative project of some sort, whether that’s conducting extensive home renovations or mechanically maintaining his own fleet of vehicles. In both work and leisure, the goal is always a job well done.
“It’s always nice to see the finished product in whatever you’re doing,” he says. “There’s that moment of reflection and pride.”
With offices in Calgary and Vancouver, Lauren Services delivers dynamic performance and intelligent design across the entire suite of engineering services.
